AhlulBayt News Agency: HIran’s national maritime fleet has expanded with the addition of 13 domestically produced vessels, delivered during a formal ceremony in Khorramshahr on Saturday.
According to Mehr, the event, attended by the Minister of Defense, marked the official handover of four tugboats—each boasting 1,800 horsepower—and nine search-and-rescue vessels to the Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran.
Designed and manufactured by the Marine Industries Organization of the Ministry of Defense, these vessels incorporate cutting-edge global technology, developed in collaboration with 25 knowledge-based companies and universities.
Equipped with advanced indigenous systems, the new fleet fully complies with international maritime standards, reinforcing Iran’s commitment to strengthening its naval capabilities.
